Fragment Futures
Fragment Futures extends my Pieces of the Past series, drawing inspiration from archaeological drawings of pottery shards found in Port Royal, Jamaica after an earthquake. Rather than focusing on what was broken, I reimagined each vessel whole — using my own carvings to complete what's missing. Wheel-thrown and finished with gold, each piece holds two directions: one side rooted in ancestral form, the other reaching forward. These are conversations with the ancestors — piecing together the past to imagine Black futures.
